Noosphere is the "content management" software of PlanetMath.  It can be used
for other mathematics-rich collaborative knowledge resources.  

NOTE: The official informational web site of Noosphere is on the AsteroidMeta

Instructions to get Noosphere from SubVersion:

0) Install the SubVersion client.  This will give you an "svn" command.

1) Issue the following command

 svn checkout "svn+ssh://nscvspub@planetmath.cc.vt.edu/var/lib/svn/noosphere/trunk" noosphere

2) Answer "yes" to the ssh host verification, and enter the password "password"

That's it!

You can also get tarball snapshots out of the snapshosts/ dir, but there is
no guarantee as to the regularity of these updates, so we recommend using the
svn repository if it is working.  If not, contact us at the email below.

If you want to contribute back some changes (and please do, if you've improved
or extended Noosphere in any way), please contact feedback@planetmath.org to 
get access to a writeable SVN account.
